if you have a sensitive dissposition, well I did warn you, This little Tick we found right between Barnaby's eyes. Pen used surgical spirit and tweesers to extract it and I took it for a swim in boiling water.

| I really enjoy getting ticks out of the animals. I do it with surgical spirit, once with whisky when that was all that was available at a dog show, and then I use fingernails. |

They're disgusting aren't they! I remember when we had our boxer & I was stroking her once & found this little lump on her chest, I didn't know it was a tick, I'd never seen one & I thought it might be a growth so we took her to the vet. He removed it for us & didn't take the mickey at me for not knowing what it was but I felt a plonker! |

| When my daughter was about 11, she had a tick on her belly button (for want of a better description). This was on the Isle of Arran when she was staying with relations. Bracken often harbours ticks from sheep. Don't mind ticks, but I find leeches revolting. |

Carrying on from ticks on pussies, Killer cat gets them fairly regularly, but I have to pick my moment to rid him of them as he is not a pat cat. |

| We went to Ballachulish once and Graham decided to go for a paddle in a disused slate quarry that had filled with water and he got a tick in his leg.We went to a chemist got told to use TCP if it ever happened again as it makes the tick go EEK and let go!! |

| Tonka has one on her head at the moment, I’m building up the courage to deal with it. I can cope with most things but I’m not too good with ticks. Luckily she has only had half a dozen in her life time. |

last year i cought one. it was on the trip, somewhere in cumbria, in the gardens of one castle, i do not remember its name now. i pulled my mate, lets explore himalayan part. we did not have much time to explore other places in the park. i have chosen himalaya because i feel attracted to that part of our globe, something spiritual, calm, i dont know.
when we came home and i took a shower, i found a little black thing under my knee. tick! it has been years since i had one. what a little hungry beast!
wait a moment. was that tick himalayan, too?
if yes, i felt better then.
joking. :D i removed it asap. but it is interesting how firmly it held there, how elastic our skin is, even the thinniest layer of it. |
