Are you interested in contributing to Garden News? We’re looking for three new contributors for our regular 'Your Gardens' section. You’ll need to commit to writing approximately 300 words of copy every four weeks describing what’s happening in your garden, supported by some digital images. There are currently three vacancies, and as we like to represent the whole country, the areas the new contributors need to live in are quite specific: we need someone gardening in North Yorkshire, someone in the west country (such as Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire) and someone in either mid Wales or north Wales. The only other requirement is that you're on email and can take and send digital photos. If you're interested, please email me at Jackie.whittaker@bauermedia.co.uk or if you know someone who might be suitable ask them to get in touch. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Same with me, another from the North East of England but will see if a vacancy (and time) change things.

I,ve said before that I don,t think the area of the country where you live matters all that much. The only difference is that the further South you go there is less chance of a late frost and borderline hardy plants are more likely to survive. Two people who live in the same street are just as likely to garden in a different way as people who live at opposite ends of the country.Sue and myself only live a few miles from each other but we usually write about different things.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm the only one (I think!) on RAF Benson, which is a frost pocket, a wind tunnel, a helipad - if you want me |

I remember it being a frost pocket Piskie and foggy because of the River Thames.

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to contribute to Garden News. I'm now looking for two more willing volunteers - one in Yorkshire and one in the West Midlands. Please email me if you are interested, or if you know anyone who may be.
